Hi ive been waiting since 7th may for my tax return. I finally found out after months off being fobbed off that in july they are doing security checks. I sent all info HMRC required and finally on 1st October i received a letter saying thankyou for providing evidence an my payment will be with me in 10 days……. Its now 18th an i haven’t received nothing, so i called today (another 40min wait) to be tolled they are doing a 2nd round of security checks to check the checks there last team done, seriously?! its an absolute disgrace! Doing this to a average joe tradesman! Moving goal posts with no accountability! If this was other way round id be getting fined by you. How can HMRC send out a letter saying passed all checks an going to pay an then do a u- turn an not even tell me. Its a disgrace.
