  • RE: National Insurance Number Fraud

Urgent Help Needed: My National Insurance Number is Being Used Fraudulently by Another Company I need some urgent advice. I have discovered that another company, which is actually a dormant company with no funds or income, has been using my National Insurance (NI) number without my knowledge. They have issued payslips under my name, showing amounts I have never received in my bank account. This is clear fraud, and now I am being asked to pay tax on income that I have never earned. I am actively trying to contact HMRC — calling multiple times, filling out online forms — but I have not been able to get through to anyone or receive proper guidance. I have also tried searching for online forums or official pages where I can raise this issue directly, but I am lost. I don’t even know the correct address to send a letter to HMRC about this situation. My main concerns: • I need to remove this fraudulent company from my NI contributions record. • I need to make sure I don’t get taxed for money I never received. • I need to report this fraud urgently. If anyone has dealt with this before or knows the correct steps, phone numbers, addresses, or online forms that actually work, please help me. Thank you so much for any advice you can give.
