We sent in our R&D claim via an agent in April 2023 for two years worth and I have not heard anything since. We wanted it set against our PAYE liability and our R&D company said it had been pushed forward, yet there is no credit showing in our corporation tax account, these were for the tex years 2020/2021 & 2021/2022 Our agent said they he has or is filling a letter to say it needs to be reallocated agains other tax, but as this has been going on for 18 months in total and I have never had a letter or a reply when I have emailed this address I have no real idea of what is going on and if he is telling me the truth or not, the combined amount was over £90,000. I have also been chasing his for several weeks for the submission numbers, which he hasn't provided. We have also since submitted towards the end of last year another claim 2022/2023 which should be a refund of £18000, yet I have a fine for not submitting a tax return and again no information or update regarding the claim, nothing showing in the CT account. I have emailed the rd.incentivesreliefs@hmrc.gov.uk several times this year, never had a reply/ How can I get an update on what is going on ?

Hi,
As you may already be aware for RDTC claim submitted less than 40 days ago or an RDEC claim submitted less than 60 days ago we will be unable to respond to your email.
For any cases which go beyond this timescale, you will need to contact via email to rd.incentivesreliefs@hmrc.gov.uk to progress chase your case.
This can only be progress chased via email, you will need to contact the mailbox and advise attempted multiple contacts but no progress on your claim.
If your R&D claim is for RDEE (Enhanced expenditure) only and out of timescale, this can be progressed chase via the Corporation Tax helpline and escalated to a technical officer to review. However, this does not include RDTC or RDEC.
If this is a holding letter response from our WMBC department, you will need to follow any instructions or details to get in contact with them.
Thank you.
