Hi, I have missing years from 2015 - 2023, I received confirmation letter that I can pay to fill these gaps. I did a bank transfer to fill years 2015 - 2019, but as far as I can tell the amount I transferred has been attributed to year 2023 - 2024 ("Full year") while all years 2015 - 2023 remain "Year is not full". How do I get the payment I made to be attributed to years 2015 - 2019? My intention was to only transfer these years and then do another transfer later to pay 2019 - 2023.

I am the same, I paid for 17 years based on the correspondence provided by HMRC which did not include 2023/24 as it was prior to this time period closing. My file has been updated on the system only for 23/24. 1, Where has the balance of my money gone. 2. How can I rectify this misallocation to 23/24? I have spent days trying to call and been on hold for over an hour each time which I cannot sustain as I am calling from abroad on a mobile. I have tried the chat but those agents cannot help me and say its the international team.

Hi enyaps1,

Please contact our National Insurance team and an advisor will be able to check your records and arrange for the payment to be allocated to the years that you intended it to be allocated to.

Hi, I am able to call and did call on 30th April to explain how I wanted the payment to be distributed across the periods 2015 to 2016, 2016 to 2017, 2017 to 2018 and 2018 to 2019 instead of all in 2023 to 2024 (as it currently is). However, all of the years mentioned between 2015 to 2019 are still showing as "Year is not full" while 2023 to 2024 remains as "Full year". When will my record be updated? I have another payment to make for the years covering 2019 to 2023 but reluctant to make another transfer if my funds aren't being attributed how I need them to be. Thanks!

Thanks HMRC Admin 20, I spoke to someone on 3rd June who again told me they will submit my request for the funds to be allocated to the correct years however, they mentioned this may take up to 40 weeks! to appear as "Full year" on my NI record... which would be after the 'payment without penalty date' so I've now made another transfer of the remaining years I can pay. Now I've made 2 payments: 31st March 2024: Total amount for years 2015 - 2019 (which has been allocated to 2023 to 2024) 4th June 2024: Total amount for years 2019 - 2024 My record is still showing all years 2015 - 2023 as "Year is not full" and 2023 - 2024 "Year is full". When will my record be updated?
