A client recently got a CF83 reply stating: "We've accepted your application to pay voluntary Class 2 NICs by annual payment THROUGH AN AGENT" The problem is they specifically said on CF83 they did NOT want to pay via an Agent. Q - Can they pay HMRC directly in spite of the above / or what should they do (without having to submit another CF83 due to the ICW's error) Thanks

Hi Johnny King,
I am sorry that we have not acted in accordance with your specific instructions.
Can I suggest you contact the NI helpline. Lines are open 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday.
They will be able to trace your original application and arrange to have any necessary corrections made.
Thank you.
