I’ve left the U.K. on a 2 year working visa for Canada. I’ve paid about 1.3k in tax since the tax year started but because I’ve only worked less than half a year, my salary therefore falls under the income tax threshold so I want to claim using P85. However I’m currently travelling in Canada and don’t have a fixed address / job as of yet.
Can I still request a tax refund using P85? Or will I just have to wait until rebates in April?
When I looked at the form it asked for an address but I wondered if you can just put a temporary address

Hi Mayahb,
Yes you can still send in a P85, you can request any repayment be sent to a new nominated address or a uk based nominee if required.
Get your Income Tax right if you're leaving the UK (P85)
Thank you

Thanks for responding, but what do I put in the boxes on the P85 that ask for my new employer details and my new address? I don’t have these yet

Hi,
You will need to wait until you have all the details before submitting the form P85.
Thank you.
