Dear HMRC, I have MCI error from last 3 years in my personal tax account. I made around 50 calls to HMRC till now. Every call was more than 30 mins waiting and some calls 2 hours also. All your advisors just confuse me and make me to go back and forth to employer to check NI number, work location etc and never resolved the issue. My NI number is same always . I see MCI error for 3 years now and I want my tax refund. I cannot wait more than 3 years for my tax refund and HMRC cannot confuse me anymore. I'm tired of this service from HMRC.I cannot even complain since my tax account is not live. Before I write in social media. Pls resolve this. I'm sure all calss are recorded.I can share my number if calls can be retrieved. I have more than 13k due with HMRC from 3 years.

Hi

I am sorry you are having these issues when trying to resolve the MCI error.
To resolve this you will need to contact HMRC to review this. I can appreciate you have already contacted HMRC before but we would need to access your account to review and update.

Dear HMRC, I tried last 50 times and it didn't help. Is there anyway I can complain about this poor service from HMRC by email. Bcoz calls are verbal and I'm spending my time for nothing without any proof. And agents are confusing. I would like to takeup this in writing so I have evidence to prove.

Same problem. I have an MCI code since I created my second account accidentally. Have been on the phone for all morning and it's looks like never ending circle. Can you give exact option , numbers and with who I suppose to talk regarding mci code.
