I currently have a income of £12000 from a works pension. I will get £4000 interest on savings this year from money I inherited. Will I have to pay tax on it?

Yes interest is taxable income and only the first £1000 is tax free.

Hi I made a bank transfer to HMRC account for income tax owed (tax year 2022/2023) and after more than 10 days the payment does not show in my online account. How long does it take to update the information of my online account? Can you please confirm receipt of the payment? Thank you.

Hi HMRC Admin 25. I contacted you by webchat today and chatted with one advisor. After providing the reference and details of the payment made, he said he had no access to HMRC account to confirm receipt of my payment. In my HMRC online account there is a message which says that after a is payment made online it would take up to 10 days to be shown in my online account. However it has been more than 10 days that I made the payment and the information has not been updated. Is there any way for you to confirm receipt of my payment? How long will it take for you to update my HMRC online account information, allocate my payment and apply the amount paid against my HMRC account? Thank you
