Hi all, my only income is via a direct benefit(final salary) pension , can I pay more than £2880 per year into a SIPP and get the tax back. Most of the information I've found around this question relates to being either in or out of work or a tax payer or not. Whereas I'm not working but still paying tax on my pension. So is £2880 the limit? Regards.

Hi

Yes, £2880 is the maximum you can pay in as a pension does not count as earnings for this purpose.
Please refer to Earnings that attract tax relief for what is classed as earnings.

Thank you
