I am registered as self-employed. I am filling out the tax return form for the first time. The earnings for the financial year between Apr '22 - Apr '23 were less than £1000. At this point it seems that I am to declare on the form that I'm not self-employed.....but I am.....and was for that year. May I have some assistance please?

Hi,
Although you are self employed, when your gross profit is less than £1000, you do not need to report the self employment on a tax return.
This allows your self employment to continue and tax return notifications can still be issued in the future.
Thankyou.
