I registered for self assessment using the online registration method so as to claim some relief on money paid into a SIPP. This was back at the beginning of June so I think sufficient time has passed, yet I have not heard back nor are there any submitted forms or messages showing in my online HMRC account. What's the best course of action here? Re-submit or go through the lengthy process of trying to speak to someone - it does seem to be very difficult to get through at the moment. Thanks.

Thanks, but it was that page that prompted my original question. It's been well past the reasonable amount of time to expect a response. Is it worth attempting to chase the original application or shall I resubmit?

Hi,
If passed the timescale for a reply then I would advise to contact HMRC before resubmitting to check on the original submission.
