We have imported a number of lorry loads via Dover with our VAT details and our VAT deferment details. We have realised that not all the VAT due has been charged to our deferment account. It has not appeared on our PIVA either. Several weeks have passed and no charge has been applied to our account. We do not wish to do anything evasive. What should we do?

Following the introduction of the Common User Charges for logistics businesses importing products of animal origin. VAT is not added by DEFRA. If the logistics company pass on their costs to customers at a higher cost to cover their additional costs of admin, is this liable for VAT?
