RE: Calculating adjusted net income for tax free childcare / 30 free hours
Hi GL2023 2023
If the pension contributions are deducted from your gross pay before tax is calculated then this is already reflected in your P60 figure and would not be deducted again for adjusted net income.
You can only deduct if the contributions are from your net pay.

RE: Tax on foreign dividends
Hi
As a UK resident you are taxed on your worldwide income.
You would report the dividend and the tax paid, as you may be able to claim a foreign tax credit for the foreign tax paid.
Foreign dividends are declared on SA106 (foreign) and submitted along with the main tax return. You can find more information on self assessment tax returns at Self Assessment.

RE: Do I have to pay tax if I stay in the UK for less than 183 days (BNO Visa holder)
Hi dimmyuk
You will be resident in the UK for a tax year and at all times in that tax year if: you do not meet any of the automatic overseas tests or you meet one of the automatic UK tests or the sufficient ties tests.
Have a look at the guidance at part 1 of 1. Statutory Residence Test (SRT)

RE: Split Interest
Hi
No. There is no tax liability on the transfer of assests between spouses and civil partners. As this interest is solely in your wife's name, she will have to declare 100% of the interest.
Thank you -
RE: Tax return - joint ownership
Hi
The rental income is not a partnership and you will just need to show it on the SA105 if using paper returns or tailor your return at section 3 to answer yes to rental income if filing online.
You also need to declare any other income you receive e.g. employment/pension.
Thank you -
RE: Am I a resident or non-resident?
Hi
HMRC are unable to advise you on your residence as this is for you to determine based on the guidance available.
Thank you
