There are no income tax implications on the receipt of a cash gift unless the cash gift generates interest or dividends.

Tax on dividends
There is no restriction on the amount that can be received.

Any amendment you make will take into account the previous figures you submitted. as its an amendment, any refund due will not be issued automatically amd you will need to telephone 0300 200 3300 to have this issued.

RE: Self-employment at Overseas and Tax Return for the Year 2022-2023
Hi Macxo
You cannot file online using HMRC for the SA109 and you will need to use 3rd party software to file the whole return.
As the whole return must be filed together, you can either pay for the software or file by paper. If paper, you only have until 31/10/23 to submit it.
