Can you please confirm if the new online system will allow payments to be made for class 2 voluntary national insurance for people living abroad

I am Spanish Resident and I am now thinking about "taking my private pension as a yearly income" (from GMPF) and would like to confirm if a) Income would initially be taxed at emergency rate b) Then I would have to claim the tax back c) System would then by updated Or are Goverment pensions exempt form "emergency tax"

Hi I am in the same position as Cconline chat, however on the form it does not provide details of how to pay, (just provides a link) So I am not sure if a new application form is required or not. When would the "letter" for 2023/2024 be issued and would I be able to check this online via Government gateway if I change preferences to "receive"notifications by email?

Update for other people: I sent my CF83 to apply for Voluntary National Insurance Contributions last March and I received a reply about two weeks ago. So it approximately takes about 11 months for an answer. Hope that helps other people. Sharon

I completed my CF83 in March 2023 and I have just received a reply, and I have been given permission to pay class 2 national insurance contributions, however when I check my "national insurance" on line under the gateway the system has not been updated has it shows "Class 3" . When Will this be updated? Thanks Sharon

I do not have an English bank account due to Brexit rules so can you please confirm if it possible to pay using a sterling cheque provided by my mum y if do what details I need to provide
