Hi,
Once we receive your SA1, it should take between 3 and 4 weeks for you to receive your UTR. If you have confirmed your address with one of our advisors, there should be no issues with this when we process your registration. If we encounter any issues registering you for Self Assessment, though, we will contact you by mail.

Under the terms of Self Assessment, HMRC does not provide an official exchange rate. instead, the onus is on the individual to use a just and reasonable exchange rate. For your convenience, there are exchange rates here:

RE: Transferring pension lump sum from Switzerland

Article 18(2) is advising that a lumpsum payment from a Swiss pension scheme, paid to a resident of the UK, is only taxable in Switzerland.
