Hi,
The income will need to be converted to sterling and declared on a UK employment page and the foreign page, this does not double up the income. The Foreign Tax Credit Relief would also be claimed in sterling and cannot exceed the UK tax that would be due on the same source of income. You can see guidance here:

The additional relief would reduce your tax bill for 2022 to 2023. A refund would be due if you have already paid too much by way of your payments on account.

Hi,
Your wife will take her share of the purchase price in 1998 and then add the 50 percent valaution price in 2005. She can then claim any Private Residence Relief for the period she lived in the house, plus the final 9 months. You can see guidance here:

You can still amend the 2021 to 2022 tax return up to 31 January 2024, and as you have overdeclared your income, it is likley a repayment is due.

Hi,
The tax will have been deducted up until you left as the NT code should only apply from the day after. The matter will reviewed after 6 April 2024 to confirm if any liability is due and a request for payment will be issued if applicable.
