RE: Cryptocurrency transfer to spouse living abroad
Hi, If there is a tax treaty between the UK and the individual's country of residence (Tax treaties), there will most likely be an article on capital gains. This article would determine the taxation of any gains from the disposal of cryptocurrency. If there is no treaty or capital gains article, then the gain would be taxable in the UK.

RE: IS A REPAYMENT SUPPLEMENT DUE FOLLOWING DELAYED REFUND OF OVER-PAID TAX?
Hi, As the repayment is for the 2023/24 tax year and repaid in November 2024 then no repayment supplement will be due. If repayment supplement is due this will be calculated and added to the repayment when processed and issued.

RE: Employed only for final few days of FY23/24, first pay received in FY24/25. How to report?
Hi, It's most likely that the income earned from the 2nd to the 5th will not need to be declared on your 23/24 return, as it will likely be declared by your employer as having been received in April 24/25, and taxed on this basis. You should then be able to enter 0.00 for your employment income for 23/24. To allow us to confirm what your employer has declared, and advise you on how to complete your return, contact us by webchat or phone via:
