RE: Need to may my 23/24 tax payment (ebay sales) but no idea what to do
Hi Mark25810,
The credit will remain on the statment until the return is filed confirming your ebay sales.
Once the due date of 31/01/25 is reached, the payments will show against the charge due for the year.
Thank you. -
RE: Gain and loss handling in year : Boxes 45, 46 and 47
Hi L Cox,
In year losses need to be used first even if this means you lose out on the annual exemption.
Any losses from previous years can be used at any time and it is your choice when this is.

RE: First payment on account for 2023-24
Hi Jimmy,
You do not declare the payments on account made for 2023/24 on your Self Assessment tax return.
As the balance due for 2023/24 is less than the payments on account already made on your statement the payments on account will be adjusted to cover the actual balance and the remaining credit will show as available for repayment.
Thank you.

RE: Self Assessment Tax Code
Hi Self Assessment Tax Code,
If you are submitting a Self Assessment return for the Higher Income Child Benefit Charge, it's likely that you are a Higher Rate taxpayer.
The transfer of Marriage Allowance is not available to Higher Rate taxpayers, and will automatically be excluded from your calculation.
You can read more here:
Marriage Allowance
Thank you.
