RE: International student receiving disability payments from foreign private policy
Hi
Payments from non-UK policies, which are not a UK source of income, are treated in the same way as payments from UK policies. There are no special or additional conditions that must be met for the payments to qualify for the exemption so you would still qualify as tax exempt. -
RE Inheritance and Succession

Inheritance tax is due on UK residents assets if above the IHT threshold. We are unable to comment on Spains rules for a beneficiary receiving the balance of the estate and you will need to speak to the Spanish authorities. -

As over 18, any income they receive is taxed as their own. Any tax due depends on the amount received as they will be due personal allowances of £12570 is they are UK resident. -
re Foreign Income/DTA/Tax relief

You will include the income within your self employment as turnover. you also show it at the foreign section as self employed and then claim foreign tax credit relief. All income must be declared in sterling. -

You cannot claim for training courses that help you:
start a new business
expand into new areas of business, including anything related to your current business. -
RE: Non tax payer - Pension contribution carry forward and tax relief at source.

The unused allowance is only applicable if you have exceeded the annual allowance and paid more into your pension than 40k. If this is the case then yes. if you are refering to normal contributions, tax relief os only due in the year payment is made. -
