Does the ‘bed and breakfasting’ rule apply to transferring shares into ISA?
Hi, In order to transfer the shares from my personal account into Stocks and Shares ISA, I would like to sell the shares from my personal account and buy the shares again in the Stocks and Shares ISA on the next day. Does the ‘bed and breakfasting’ rule apply to it? If I make a loss on selling the shares from my personal account, could this offset any other capital gains I have made this year or will potentially make in future years? Thank you very much! -
Does the "referr a friend bonus" be taxable?
I got some money from company like Octopus energy and Top-cash-back, etc., because I referred friends to use their services. I am not a sole trader. Do I need to put such income into the self assessment? Which part of the form should I put this income in? Thank you. -
RE: UTR
Hi, I also had the UTR when I lived outside the UK in 2022/23. I moved in the UK in 2023/24 and registered to the personal tax account on HMRC web site. However, I could not see my UTR and my previous tax information in my personal tax account. How can I put the UTR in the personal tax account? Besides, I would like to do the self-assessment online but I cannot see any option in my personal tax account. What should I do? Thank you!
