I am trying to check my National Insurance (NI) record online but keep encountering issues with identity verification.
I have attempted multiple times using both the app's document scanning feature and by providing my driving license and credit record, but I still receive the message: "Could not confirm your identity."
Could you please advise on how I can resolve this issue?
Thank you for your assistance.

Check what the id app has captured from your document. There are, for example, non-uk passports around that write your name twice in two character sets. The identity app captures the name given on the passport in the 'non-english' alphabet and that is then not recognised by HMRC.

I am trying to confirm my identity so I can register for childcare hours. I have tried verifying my passport and driving license (which are both valid, and I have tried over 20 times with the correct information) and it still says my identity cannot be verified. I've also tried the biometric scan through the app, which also failed. Please don't suggest I speak to the Childcare service or HMRC as both have said it's not an issue with them, and technical support were also no help. I am entering the correct and valid details - I fly to Dublin every week with my passport and my driving license was just reissued. Where / how do I get help?

Hi, i'm really struggling to find the answer online so i hope someone can help. My mum is in a nursing home and we need to get a Unique Tax Reference for her as she is unable to. I have previously been able to access her HMRC information (with her permission) as the access code gets sent to her phone however we have disconnected her phone and we're unable to verify her identity any other way. Passport has expired and only has paper driving licence. What can i do? who can i call? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
