Hi I am based in UK . I am going to inherit property in India. I dont have a home in UK. So can I classify that as my primary residence before I sell it . So I dont pay tax on it ? Is this a correct assumption ? Does this apply for only land as well ? Thanks

Hi anishh2003,

The property has to be used as an actual dwelling house by you in order for this to apply.
