PAYE record in self assessment

When I filled in the self assessment tax return, I was asked whether I was employed during the tax year. If my employed was started on end of March and the first salary was paid to my bank account in end of April (ie next tax year) due to payroll schedule of the employer, should I still answer ‘Yes’ even I have no employment salary but the employment actually started in current tax year as the ? Thanks!

You can state that you were employed and enter the income figure as £0 .
