I cannot find this postcode when I want to purchase the postage online. What can I do?
Posted 2 years ago by Eddy S
Hi, BX9 1AS is an artificial post code and it is not on the Royal Mail database. Letters received at BX19 1AS are opened, scanned and distributed to other HRMC offices. Gov.uk website says that for couriers a physical address should be used. Check https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/hm-revenue-customs/contact/couriers Hope it helps

Hi Phoebe Chan,

There is also a link at the bottom for 'Couriers' and you can use the address shown there.

I've twice posted Penalty Appeals to BX9 1AS, using Royal Mail "signed for" first class. In both cases, Royal Mail tracking indicated that these have not been signed for, more than a week after posting. Is HMRC accepting post and not signing for it? I am very anxious to know that they have arrived, since there is a limited time period to file an appeal.

What city associated to BX9 1AS should we insert, when asked on the Royal Mail website ?

Hi,
There is no need to insert the city. The postcode is enough.
Thank you

Hello I need to send P85 form from Canada by post and BX9 1AS is not showing as an correct post address. Which address should I be using. Thank you

This postcode BX9 1AS isn't recognised by Royal Mail and therefore you can't purchase a label online. The only options you have is to either use a stamp or physically go to the Post Office to purchase your label. Anything sent to the BX9 1AS address is held at Royal Mail until they are collected by HMRC. I was told by Royal Mail that they don't deliver to this location. HMRC and Royal Mail couldn't tell me when they would be collected either. Once collected they scanned and accessible by HMRC from any office within the UK. Sending via a recorded delivery service doesn't mean you will get a signature, they rarely sign for anything. I was told to have some faith and wait about 2 weeks. It did arrive and I started receiving letters about 4 weeks later. Remember to leave plenty of time!

I have posted at least 5 different times recorded mail to Pay As You Earn and Self Assessment, HM Revenue and Customs, BX9 1AS, UTR applications on behalf of non UK residents, 64-8 agent authorisations that HMRC only process process for one or two individual and ignore the rest even though they are all posted at the same time, Not sure if the scanning service that HMRC use are not scanning the whole pack or what. The postal tracking shows a recorded delivery successfully delivered and signed, my clients are late to file their taxes in the UK and in their country of residence, they have enough, the LLp is losing its members and as an agent I am losing my non uk residents clients. When I call HMRC they send me to the webchat ( we all know this is not working), hung up on my face, or just ask me to make other applications, or simply cannot talk to me because there is no agent authorisation ( eventhough I posted it 5 times)
