Hi, I am completing my first Self Assessment for the year 2021 - 2022 and it looks like the 'View your calculation' uses Personal Allowance of £12570 as a default. However, the P60 states that my final tax code was 679L (due to having two jobs in 2020/21 tax year) which means the total Tax Due is less than I was expecting it to be. I tried to find a way to change the Personal Allowance without a luck. What should I do? I don't want to pay any penalties if I submit it as it is now. Regards, Greg

Perhaps I should make it more clear. Because my tax code in 21/22 year was 679L, my Personal Allowance was £6799 at the end of the tax year. However, the 'View your calculation' page uses standardised Personal Allowance of £12570. Is there a way I can change the Personal Allowance amount in 'View your calculation'?

Hi,

You do not need to update the Personal Allowance due to the lower tax code. When you complete the return, you enter all your income and we will calculate any additional tax due.

Thank you.
