RE: Non-EU/EEA Certificate
Hi sirdmark2014
We would need your national insurance number along with your certificate.
You could include a covering letter, with the certificate, that has your national insurance number and address on it, together with details of what you are requesting.
Thank you

RE: CFD Trading as sole source of income
Hi
There is no clear answer to this question, that we can provide on this forum, as there is no statutory definitin of a 'trade'.
You will need to review the guidance at BIM20000 onwards https://www.gov.uk/hmrc-internal-manuals/business-income-manual/bim20000
to decide if a trade or the venture in the nature of a trade exists.
For a more indepth review of your personal circumsances with regard to trading, you would need to contact our webchat helpline and seek the advice of technical support inspector (TSI).
You will be able to call the self assessment helpline and seek the advice of technical support inspector (TSI) after 4 September 2023.
They would be able to review the Business Income Manual with you, to help you make an informed decision. You can find contact details here Self Assessment: general enquiries

RE: Self-assessment credit but already refunded
Hi
You can amend the 21/22 return. There is a section which asks if you have already had tax refunded for the year by HMRC or the Job Centre. The amount should be entered there.

RE: Tax Working for an Australian Company whilst based in the UK
Hi
As per Article 14 of the UK/Australia Double Taxation agreement, as a UK resident working remotely you will continue to pay UK tax on the income received from your Australian employer.
If any tax is deducted by the Australian tax authority, you can claim Foreign Tax Credit Relief in the Foreign pages (SA106) of your Self Assessment tax return.

RE: Gifts deposit on an overseas account
Hi
The transfer of money from an overseas bank account to a UK account has no income tax implications, unless interest is generated.
So on the basis of the info you have provided, there will be no tax to pay. You can find more information here
