RE: Reporting a fuel card to HMRC for personal mileage
Hi,
If your employer is putting this benefit through the payroll it will be subject to tax and National Insurance accordingly as pay. If it is put through on a P11D, this will impact your tax free amount, but this will also increase your tax and National Insurance.
You should consult with your employer on how this is being treated.
Thank you. -
RE: P45 Issue
Hi gisa Ninan,
If you have handed your P45 to your secondary employment, please do not hand this to any other employer.
You will need to contact our Income Tax team to amend your tax code if you feel it is incorrect.

RE: Verifying my Identity
Hi,
The personal tax account will not be an option for yourself in your current situation.
Form P85 would be the tax form required when leaving the UK for any refund in the same tax year and this can still be sent if you prefer. You can see information here:
Get your Income Tax right if you're leaving the UK (P85)
As the tax year has ended your records will automatically be reviewed and any corresepndance will be sent to the last address we hold for you on record. It maybe the case where you would prefer us to set a UK correspondance address to send anything to you.
You can go back up to 4 years to claim a tax refund.
Thank you. -

RE: Defer offsetting of capital gains loss against gain
Hi,
In year losses must be used against any in year gains first. If they are actually from a previous year, then you can carry them forward and can use them whenever.

RE: Queries about Interest on savings for children
Hi,
As the interest is over £100, it is now you that needs to declare it and it forms part of your saving allowance.
It is the full £146 that is included. The child is only allowed to have savings allowance of £100 when this has been earned on an account that has money paid in by a parent(s) only.
Thank you.
