RE: VAT Repayment Delayed
Hi,
We are sorry that your VAT repayment claim is taking longer than expected.
Thorough checks are carried out by the compliance team and sometimes this can mean that the repayment takes a little longer to process.
When you called the Helpline we would have checked that there was no issue with the return and then sent off an urgent referral to the compliance team to progress it.

RE: Postponed VAT Imports
Hi,
If you have been issue a postponed VAT accounting statement then this should mean that you did not pay any VAT on the goods when they arrived in the UK. There should therefore be no import VAT to reclaim.
The import figures still need to be reported on the VAT return and your postponed VAT accounting statement will allow you to do this. Please see the guidance below:
