RE: Lifetime ISA for a self build
Hi Grey88,
You can only claim your bonus funds when you are buying a home – and the money has to go towards the completion of your property, so you can’t use it to pay your solicitor’s, estate agent’s fees or any other costs associated with buying a home.
As such it cannot be used to fund the build.

The payments on account made are not shown on your SA302 calculation.
The payments on account are deducted from the balance calculated on your statement.

The partner of a Crown servant posted overseas who is accompanying the Crown servant posted overseas shall be treated as being in the United Kingdom when he/she is either—
(a)in the country where the Crown servant is posted, or
(b)absent from that country in accordance with regulation as such you are still classed as UK resident and the income from Germany will be classed as foreign income to be declared in the UK - Tax on foreign income

Hi Sara.Y,
1. The interest will be applied in 2025 so it falls into the 24/25 tax year. ISA interest doesnt need to be reported
2. Yes you can still open another one as the orignal one was opened in 23/24 irrespective of when the interest is applied.
