Hi SDTaxman,
From the limited information available we can only provide general advice.
If you require account specific advice please contact the VAT helpline
VAT: general enquiries
If it is an Officers Assessment that has been raised and is showing on your VAT account, then VAT returns would not need to be amended by the business as the Officer’s Assessment would normally detail the returns they have amended.
You can check you VAT account via your Business Tax Account on www.gov.uk.

P45
Hi cattleking,
If you are using third party payroll software, please contact your payroll software provider for assistance with printing the P45.
If you are using HMRC Basic PAYE Tools, you will be able to print this only after submitting the Full Payment Submission (FPS) that contains the leaving date for the employee.
To do this you will need to select manage employees, click on the name of the employee concerned and select leaver summary.
Here you will see the submission status and an option to print the P45 if it has been submitted.
If you have any problems with this, then please contact HMRC Online services.

RE: P45
Hi Lisa Beale,
No, once a P45 has been issued it cannot be amended and reissued.
A letter should be given to the employee confirming an error has been made on the P45 and providing the correct details.
The employee should also contact HMRC to ensure their address is correct on their tax record.
They can do this in their Personal Tax Account (PTA) or by calling Personal taxes helpline if they have not set up their PTA.

RE:CGT on sale of property
Hi A C,
Your son would normally be liable as he is the legal owner.
However, if there is a deed of trust in place making someone else the beneficial owner, it is they who will be liable for CGT.
Thank you.
