RE: Capital gains form
Hi Colin808,
Capital gains will be due as you have given 1/2 the property to your husband so your initial purchase price is reduced to £62500.
His initial cost price is also the £62500 and not the price when it was transferred to him.
Capital Gains Tax: what you pay it on, rates and allowances

RE:Miscellaneous income allowance and past years
Hi helidoc,
You can claim the trading allowance of £1000 per annum against self employment.
The earliest you can now go back to is 2020 and you will need to write in to claim overpayment relief .

RE: Split year treatment
Hi UK expat,
If you qualify for split year then you only report any foreign income for the UK part of the year:
RDRM12000 - Residence: The SRT: Split year treatment: Contents.
If you do not qualify then you will need to report all your foreign income to the UK:
Tax on foreign income
The guidance at will help you work out if split year treatment applies.

RE:CGT on Shares taken out of ISA
Hi Patience,
HMRC do not state the prices for shares as this is decided by the company at start of trading and then changes depending on activity on the stockmarket.

RE:Please advice tax for remote worker
Hi andreventura,
If you plan to live in Portugal on a long term basis, you are likely to be deemed tax resident in Portugal and therefore liable to pay Portuguese tax on your UK employment income.
At which point HMRC will authorise your UK employer to apply an NT code.
You should advise HMRC of your change in residence circumstances by completing form P85.
Or the Residence pages of your Self Assessment (SA) tax return, if your are within SA.
Employees working abroad
Get your Income Tax right if you're leaving the UK (P85)
Thank you.
