RE: Self Assessment refund delays
Hi henrykissing Geddes,
If we have to reissue your repayment cheque, we need to verify that the first cheque issued hasn't been cashed or deposited, before fully cancelling, then reissuing, your cheque.
This can take up to 10 weeks.
There are a few reasons why your more recent refund request was cancelled.
There may have been an error in the account details supplied, for example.
If you would like us to review your repayment requests again, contact us by webchat or phone here:

Hi Jason Croke,
As this is a public forum we are unable to take specific details of companies and act upon any advice
However, we would recommend always reporting fraudulent activity via the link below:

RE:Food Delivery - stolen vehicle
Hi campi82,
If you have claimed capital allowances for the moped and it is subsequently stolen, you have received tax relief for the moped.
You cannot claim losses as well, as you would be claiming tax relief twice on the same asset.
If you have claimed capital allowances for the moped and your insurer pays out for the theft, you would add the payout to your gross turnover as will offset the capital allowances claimed.
Thank you.

RE: small gift clarification
Hi Roger19,
The £3000 limit is only for Inheritance Tax purposes by which these are not taken into account in the value of the estate when someone dies.
If you exceed the limit then it is taken into account if you die within 7 years of the gift being made.
Tax would then only be due if the total estate ecxceed the Inheritance Tax threshold - currently £325,000.
Thank you. -
RE: Tax relief on contribution to SIPP
Hi SunnyUK,
Sorry that was a mistype.
The relief would be restricted to £45k, this being your salary for 23/24.
You can still contribute more but no further tax relief would be given. you don't need to worry about the recycling rules.
Thank you.
