Hi Christina,
If it was yesterday that you called there was system issues. At other times the lines may be busy however it is indeed possible to speak to the employer helpline on 0300 200 3200 you could perhaps use the phrases "underpayment" or "potential disputed charge", or "dispute liabilities" to summarise your issue.

RE: Foreign national who is working in the UK for a foreign employer
Hi Payroll B Payroll B,
Generally speaking if there is no UK employer and the employer is deemed as Rest of World which the US would be then a direct payment scheme would be approriate, either a DPNI for tax and national insuracne or a DCNI just for national insurance then tax wuld be collected via Self Assesment. However as you have mentioned producers and filmiing you may with to speak to the film and TV unit on 0300 123 2326.

You will need to go back and amend the payroll for the relevant months from the date the salary sacrifice was agreed from and recover the net overpaid difference in salary from the employees. See Section 1.19 of the folowing on Gov.uk re overpayment of wages:

Thank you for your question.
Where the joint owners are husband and wife or civil partners, profits and losses are treated as arising to them in equal shares, known as the 50/50 rule. So, you will both be required to complete a tax return. If both entitlement to the income and the property are in unequal shares, a form 17 election can be made to allow profits or losses to be split according to their actual share of ownership in the property.
