RE: Not receiving the UTR number
Hi,
She would need the UTR to submit the Self Assessment. If the notice to file the 2022 to 2023 tax return is issued late she will be allowed 3 months and a week to file the tax return before late filing penalties are charged.
If she have still not received their UTR they will need to contact our Self Assessment team to review.

RE: P800 Tax Due - How to pay
Hi,
Yes, that is correct. You can send a cheque, bankers draft, postal order or 3rd party cheque.
If you have a payslip P254 you can send the cheque with that.
If you do not have a payslip then you can send the cheque with a covering letter to HMRC Direct, BX5 5BD.
The letter should include your full name and address, NINO, amount of payment, what the payment is for (eg PAYE Underpayment) and the tax year due.
Thank you. -
RE: Personal Allowance reduced by £1,659
Hi,
If we had not received the details of you leaving your old job before starting your new job then your tax code would be spilt between the jobs. If you now have just one job and your tax code has not yet been amended to reflet this you will need to contact our Income Tax team to review.
