If the tax returns were sent by recorded delivery and you have the reference number then when you contact HMRC, a referral can be sent to trace the tax return if not yet noted on the record.

If you have no P60, you declare the income still on an employment page but show it as tips. You then claim foreign tax credit relief for the tax paid.

RE: Payment pending for weeks
Hi,
If shown as pending then the repayment is still being processed and not issued. Once issued it will show the issue date on your online account and from that date 5-10 working days to arrive in your account. If not issued after 10 working and still shown as pending then the repayment will have been selected for security checks.
If this happens then you will need to contact our Self Assessment team for a timescale.

- HMRC dont apply changes retrospectively and can only apply from when the application is made.

Hi,
Yes. As resident and domiciled, you are liable on your worldwide income whether you remit it here or not. the only exception is when the laws of the foreign country stop you from withdrawing it.
