RE: CGT on traded options (close out)
Hi,
You are correct. The £500 is an allowable cost of granting the first option and any gain on the grant would be reduced by it and any incidental expenses.
Thank you. -

Re: I use a agent to help with my self assessment
tHi,
If you no longer want the agent to be able to change your personal details or claim a repayment your record will need to be updated to show that the agent no longer acts on your behalf.
You can contact HMRC to update at:

RE: Capital gain tax paid & self assessment
Hi,
Yes you still need to declare it and it does ask on the return for disposals already reported and tax already paid. These are within the CG section of the return.
Thank you.

RE: Self Assessment calculates tax is owed, but tax already refunded for same period
Hi,
If the tax was refunded via PAYE at the end of the tax year and before you filed your first tax return for the year, you can record this refund under 'Income tax refunded or set-off', towards the
end of your return. If your refund has come from an earlier Self Assessment tax return filed for the same year, the refund already received will be automatically factored in after you file your
updated return and when your updated tax bill is calculated - you do not need to record the refund on your return.
Thank you. -
