RE: Gifted Shares held in the Uk to a person who lives in the UK by Parents who are Australian
Hi,
A value will need to be applied at the time of gifting.
If this then increases when you sell them then you will have a capital gain. if it reduces, it will be a capital loss.
Your parents will need to declare a gain when they transfer them to you as this will be classed as a sale.
Thank you. -

RE:Foreign Settlement (US) - Subject to UK Tax?
Hi,
You will declare the wage part of the settlement only and you need to show it as an employment and as foreign income in order for it to show on the calculation. you can then claim foreign tax credit relief for the US tax paid.
Thank you. -
