HMRC missing payment evidence
Hi Ciaran Murdoch,
If you can see the payment on your online account, you may have enough information about that payment for us to trace it for you.

RE: CGT on foreign property and bank exchange rate costs
Hi TeaJay92,
No. The transfer from one bank account to another is not part of the disposal of the property, but a transaction after the disposal of the property. Please have a look at CG78320:

Capital gains tax when property owned 99% wife / 1% husband
Hi Nelly070,
As you are married, you have the choice of splitting the gain 50:50 or 99:1 when calculating Capital Gains Tax.
There is a calculator here:
Tax when you sell property
Both of you should use the calculator to work out your respective gain.
If the calculation reveals that there is no tax payable by an individual, then that individual does not need to report their gain, they can keep a copy of their calculation for future reference.
If a capital gain is payable, then you can follow on from the calculator to register for a capital gains account to report and pay the Capital Gains Tax due.

According to article 18 of the DTA, a lump sum payment derived from a pension scheme established in a Contracting State and beneficially owned by a resident of the other Contracting State shall be taxable only in the first-mentioned State.
If you meet these conditions then it is only taxable in Switzerland.
