RE:Money to my Uk wife
Hi Carl Tscar,
No,this is not income generated by your wife and there is no tax implications on the transfer of assets between spouses and civil partners.
If the money is placed in a bank account with your wife's name, even a joint account, then any interest the money generates is taxable and should be declared.
Thank you. -

RE:Self Assessment - High Income Child Benefit
Hi Sheraz Khan,
From the figures supplied the Higher Income Child Benefit Charge, HICBC, should be £345 approximately.
As the balance due is higher then there will be an underpayment of tax which has increased the balance.
To review we would need to check your calculation.
If you submit the tax return and allow the 3 working days to process to our systems and contact us we can review.
If an amendment is needed this can be done.
Thank you.
