1. Yes you can file a paper tax return if previously filed online.
2. If the paper tax return filed before 31 October deadline we will send a calculation before the 31 January payment date.
3. You will still receive the calculation to advise no balance to pay.

RE: First Self Assessment - Other Income from Freelance Job
Hi Nourhan Abdellatif,
INTM860750, advises that British citizens employed by the world bank (and certain other organisations) are not entitled to exemption from UK tax on their emoluments.
If you are not a UK citizen, but resident in the UK, then provided your country of nationality is a member states of those organisations, they are allowed to tax the salaries of employees who are their own citizens, (while requiring them to exempt from tax the salaries of those who are citizens of other countries).

Where there is no source of income arising outside of the UK, a letter of confirmation of residence will be issued, which should be acceptable to the Italian tax authorities.
