RE: Reporting savings interest

If the interest on your savings is less than £1000 then the interest will not show as a deduction in your tax code. If it will be above this then you would need to contact HMRC to amend your record with an estimate of the interest figures. The department for works and pensions will contact HMRC with details of the state pension starting and we will then amend your tax code to include this income.
