RE: Gain/Loss on trading share options on US stock market
Hi
For this you would prepare your own spreadsheet and attach it as a pdf to the tax return. -
RE Double taxation Spain
Hi
We do have a backlog and cannot give a definite date for this.
If you use webchat again and mention 'adviser' at the start, that will put you through to a human for the claim to be escalated. -
RE: Franked vs Unfranked dividend distribution
Hi
As the unfranked is treated as tax already deducted at basic rate, show this as other income.
The franked ones will just be declared under dividends. -
RE HMRC own CGT-calculators gives 2-different figures?
Hi
When you did the one in May 22, you will have used estimated figures for your income as the tax year had not ended. for the tax return, you will now have the actual figures and by whatyou have said, these will be slightly higher resulting in more CGT being due.
The one is May was correct at the time but he one from your tax return now overrides this. -
RE Cash gift from Hong Kong

RE: Can I use my saving abroad for living due to redundancy? And will I be taxed?
Hi
If you mean transferring the income to the UK then there is no limit.
You may want to advise your bank of where the funds are from.
If you mean to transfer back to Hong Kong, we cannot advise you on that and you may wish to speak to a financial adviser. -
