Hi mzyxdnlg,
Although you are not overseas any longer, your payment is for a period that you were overseas.
As such, our International Teams would deal with your payment and allocate to your National Insurance account.
So your ’18 Digit Reference Number’ is:  Your National Insurance Number, followed by IC, then your surname and initial (or as much of your surname as possible).
Our bank details are:  Sort Code = 08-32-20, account number = 12001004, account name = HMRC NIC Receipts
Thank you.

Hi, Many thanks for your reply how to pay national insurance class 2 (voluntary) but I am resident and work abroad so the link that you have sent me does not apply to me. Please confirm how I can make a payment from a "non-uk bank account" Thanks

Hello, If I post a CF83 form to HMRC now but do not receive a response in time by the deadline date of 5th April 2025, will I still be able to make voluntary National Insurance contributions? Thanks

Hi Brendon2,
As long as your application is received before the deadline date of 5 April 2025, your application will be considered and you will be able to pay voluntary
National Insurance contributions if you are eligible to pay them.
Thank you.

I filled in form cf83 over two years ago, so that I may pay back class 2 contributions, I have asked the pension department on phone about this, and they just say someone will get back to me. I live in france so not so easy on phone. I started claiming my small pension in March, I sent a long letter six months ago to hmrc with proof of french self employment over the last 14 years, now have filled out papers for small french pension entitlement from next April. I am keeping little savings to pay these class 2 contributions it will be too late in April next, as it passes the date for topup. Do I phone again, or will a reply come eventually. In the past I have filled in 2 cf83 forms and no reply, it's noted that are on file, but this has been going on for nearly 3 years?

I received a letter dated 30-April-2024 confirming acceptance that I can pay Class 2 NICs while living abroad. I am however, unable to see the same data on the “payable gaps” page of my National Insurance record online. The online page incorrectly shows Class 3 NICs. Despite this, I have subsequently made five Class 2 NICs from my current account in the UK. I have no way to verify that these payments were received by HMRC. I would very much appreciate the website be updated to show: 1. Confirmation of my voluntary NIC amounts required to pay up the recoverable shortfall. 2. Confirmation of payments received to date, before I pay the remaining.
