RE: Tax credits are ending on 5 April 2025
Hi,
You should have received a letter to confirm Tax Credits has stopped the Direct Debit for the debt. You can see guidance here:
https://www.gov.uk/tax-credits-overpayments/universal-creditWhen you transfer to Universal Credit any debt is sent to DWP also. DWP should contact you to start recovery of the outstanding balance. We do not have a timescale for this. However, if you are worried you can contact the DWP debt management team. RE: Class 3 voluntary contribution
Hi,
Before paying voluntary National Insurance contributions you should check your State Pension entitlement to make sure that it is worth paying voluntary contributions. You can do this here:

If you still wish to pay voluntary contributions after checking your pension entitlement then please contact our National Insurance team and they will give you our bank details and an 18 digit reference number to include with your payment.
