I can confirm that we are still accepting the paper versions of the CF83 application form to pay voluntary National Insurance contributions whilst overseas.
You may, however, find it easier completing the new version online via: Social Security abroad: NI38

RE: Regarding the April 2025 deadline for paying missing years
Hi,
You will be given extra time to pay any voluntary National Insurance contributions that you may wish to make at the rates in force when we received
your CF83 application form if we replied close to or after the April 2025 deadline.
If you had any queries about any shortfalls of voluntary contributions then you will be given extra time again from our next letter provided that you replied to the initial letter within the extra time given.

RE: Paying voluntary NI contributions for years before moving to the UK
Hi,
It is only possible to pay voluntary National Insurance contributions for the tax year in which you were registered into the UK National Insurance scheme.
If you would like to discuss this then please call our National Insurance Helpline on 0300 200 3500 and they will help you further.

RE: Incorporating of an LLC in the UK by a European national and social insurance payments
Hi,
You will need to refer to Set up and run a limited liability partnership (LLP)
You should contact the Greek authorities to obtain whether they class you as employed or self employed there.
We cannot give you a liability decision on this forum, this has to be received in writing and our International Caseworkers will review each application separately case by case.
Thank you. -
RE: Non Resident Director - NI
Hi,
You should hand your certificate to your employer so they can submit the correct payroll for you.
Any overpaid NI contributions can be repaid via your employer, they do this by submitting a in year update to the payroll system for the individual that is due the overpaid NICs.
HMRC do not receive copies of the certificates this would be disclosed by the employer when they submit the correct payroll type for the individual covered by the certificate.
Thank you. -
RE: Unable to request an S1 form with the Frontier Worker Permit status
Hi,
The application CA8421 does cover S1 applications for the individual, when selecting whether you have the right to work in the UK you would select yes if you have UK immigration status or a visa which allows you to seek and complete employment in the UK.
The CA8454 is for claiming statutory periods and or dependants.
HMRC can not update the NHS website as we are not the same government department.
The UK is no longer part of the European Union and some changes to our applications/process are in line with this.
Thank you. -

Hi,
As the sanctions prevent this money from being accessed, you will not include it in your return. if/when the sanctions are lifted, yes you need to report it, in sterling,
on the foreign page of the return.
Thank you.
