RE: Specified Adult Childcare Credits
Hi Elizabeth Custance,
Once your Specified Adult Childcare application is processed we will write to you with the outcome.
If successful and your record is credited and you do not see a change in your pension, you would need to speak to DWP who would be able to see our updates.

RE: Double taxation if moving back to Slovakia (EU) but working remotely for UK based company
Hi DanaBK,
When you leave the UK you should complete form P85.
On this form you will confirm you are continuing to work for a UK employer and we will check to see if we are able to issue a code of NT (No Tax) to your employer.
You will have to contact your bank to ask them if you will be able to keep your UK bank account if living abroad.
Regarding your settled status you should contact the Home Office on 020 7035 4745 or by email public.enquiries@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk.
Their telephone lines are open Monday to Friday 0900am to 500pm.
You should take the Statutory Residence Test on the Gov.UK RDR3: Statutory Residence Test (SRT) notes.
You will need to contact the National Insurance helpline on 0300 200 3500 regarding both your national insurance query and your State Pension one.

Property income from overseas DTA
Hi Neoaus,
Please see Article 6 of the DTA UK/ AUSTRALIA DOUBLE TAXATION CONVENTION
As a UK resident, the UK has taxing rights on your worldwide income.
If tax was deducted on this income in Australia, then you would be able to claim foreign tax credit relief on this, to stop you being taxed on it twice.
As you state no tax is paid in Australia, then it is correctly taxed in the UK and no refund can be claimed.
Thank you. -

RE: Self assessment for rental income
Hi Seas,
Please see Work out your rental income when you let property.
You can claim the property allowance and get up to £1000 a year tax free property income. If you claim the
property income allowance you cannot claim a deduction for expenses. If you own a property jointly with others,
you’re each eligible for the £1,000 allowance against your share of the gross rental income.
If you are not resident in the UK then you will still be required to complete annual Self Assessment tax
returns to declare your income from property, regardless of the amount of income.
The personal allowance is currently £12570.
If you have no other income and your rental income is less than £1000 a year then you will not pay any tax in the UK.
Thank you. -
