RE: Full PRR when selling old house shortly after buying new?
Hi Andrew Holme,
Please see HS283 Private Residence Relief (2023).
Please note you will receive PRR for the period you lived in the property plus the final 9 months.
If you actually live in the property in any of the final 9 months this is already included as part of the initial PRR and you cannot claim it again.
Thank you.

RE:Tax Code Personal Pension
Hi poppy1992,
When a lump sum is taken from a pension for the first time an emergency code is always used.
To discuss the code going forward you will need to contact the Income Tax department

RE: National Insurance Number
Hi Leisha O’Flinn,
I can confirm that National Insurance Numbers all have the same format.
I would suggest that your son/daughter gives us a call on 0300 200 3500 and we will be able to trace their correct National Insurance Number and sent them a letter to confirm this.
If you would like to speak on their behalf may I ask that they are with you to give us their permission.
Alternatively, they may complete and return our form Get your National Insurance number CA5403 .
This will enable us to trace their correct Number and then send them a reply.
Thank you. -
RE: Specified Adult Childcare Credits
Hi Swms,
We should have replied to you in one letter about both tax years regarding your application for Specified Adult Childcare Credits so may I ask that you call our National Insurance Helpline (0300 200 3500).
They will be able to check the action taken and then contact the Team that deal with this query, if required, to ask them to have another look at your application.
Thank you.
