RE: Voluntary strike off of company with over £25,000 profits
Hi tws1 Spanner,
If two years have passed since the making of a distribution and the company has not been dissolved, or has failed to satisfy the first condition mentioned at CTM36220, then it is treated as if the relief from CT distribution treatment given by CTA10/S1030A had never applied.
That is to say the capital treatment for the remaining £25,000 is lost and the CGT liability that would arise on such distribution must be paid.
Thank you. -

RE: Paying class 3 voluntary national insurance contributions (HMRC bank details)
Hi David Hughes,
Your payment should have worked through the banking system correctly.
It may take up to 8 weeks for your payment to be allocated to your National Insurance account but if you have access to a Personal Tax Account (PTA)
you can check to see if it has been allocated to the tax year(s) you intended.
If it’s been longer than the 8 weeks since you made your payment and it’s not shown on your PTA, please call the National Insurance Helpline on 0300 200 3500
and they will be able to ensure that it has been received correctly and then allocate it.
Thank you.

RE: How to Pay Voluntary National Insurance Contributions from Abroad
Hi Lily Dominey,
If you could complete the CF83 application form with your current surname then this will enable us to update your National Insurance account.
Question 4 on the CF83 asks about your previous surname so this will match the current details recorded on your National Insurance account.
Thank you. -

If you wish to pay voluntary contributions after reading the leaflet then please complete and return the CF83 application form which you will find at the same web page as the NI38.
Before applying to pay voluntary contributions you may wish to check your current and future entitlement to a British State Pension.
More details are given at Application for a State Pension forecast or you may set up a Personal Tax Account (PTA) via gov.uk.
