RE: Business Tax Account
Hi FIN YON,
The Business Tax Account is used for Self Assessment and the Personal Tax Account can be used for non Self Assessment tax.
If you file online you will not receive a paper bill.
The dividends would count towards the dividend allowance.

Hi
After the tax year has ended, we will do an end of year tax calculation and if you did not receive your allowance we will issue a P800 tax calculation between July and October.

Yes this income needs to be declared on a self assessment tax return.
He can register for self assessment without a NINO but he should apply for this too -

Began would imply due, if your income on the tax return is below the threshold it will not calculate any amount due.

As the August salary will relate to work carried out abroad, you will not include it as UK income.
No diffierence for the place of stay as long as you are claiming under case 4 - RDRM12000 - Residence: The SRT: Split year treatment: Contents
